Before the Fabrique,
it was a derelict site.
A former mirror workshop. Then years of silence. Before becoming what it is today, La Fabrique Générale lived several lives. That is surely what gives it such a distinctive soul today. This is the story of its transformation.

The glass roof, original state · 19th-century steel framework
01 · The encounter
A volume,
a light.
In the heart of the 17th arrondissement, behind a carriage gate, lay a forgotten volume. Exposed brick, steel framework, glass roof: everything that made the place beautiful was already there. It simply needed to be revealed.
The idea was never to transform the space, but to listen to it. Preserve the traces of its industrial past, respect its materials, its volumes, its history. Refuse the tabula rasa and let the place tell what it already was.
02 · The derelict site
In its raw state.
Before the tools, before the builders, just the space. The walls still breathed the silence of the last few decades, from the days when it was a mirror workshop. The stage was set.

03 · The works
Several months,
the same high standards.
Preserve what was there. Restore the glass roof without erasing its character. Keep the red brick, give the metal its rightful place. Open up the volumes rather than partition them. The works took the time they needed, to do justice to this unique place.
The craftsmen were chosen the way you choose a menu, too: for their love of detail.

04 · The transformation
The place, revealed.
The first finishing touches, the furniture arriving, the lighting adjusted to the nearest degree. The house's first evenings.

05 · Today
La Fabrique,
alive.
350 m² (3,750 sq ft) that now host seminars, parties, cocktails and long dinner tables. The glass roof has found its light again. The bricks still tell the story. And each event, in turn, leaves its mark.

Olivier & Julien
“What drives us every day is a simple idea: to offer a place where people feel genuinely good and reconnect. Not a cold, standardised venue, but a warm, authentic, human space. That's the promise we make to every one of our clients.”
